02/08/2015 3:48 amI feel like this is a somewhat polarizing place, but for me -- LOVED IT. The crazy drinks, the divey ambiance, and the awesome food combine to make this a favorite on 11th street. I recommend the long island tea *redneck version. There was enough alcohol in mine to drown a small horse :) |

08/14/2014 12:38 pmThere are a few reasons I like Butter. Firstly, Butter was the sponsor for the kickball league I joined this summer. This meant once a week I was at Butter with a bunch of rowdy, adult kickball players. They handled this weekly crowd with great service and a positive attitude. The bartenders were always friendly and the service was quick. They have flip cup, fun music and a laid back atmosphere. |

07/14/2014 6:54 pmIt's a somewhat trashy little dive bar with a trailer park theme that's somewhat overpriced for what it is. This joint charges a modest cover of $5 sometimes on the weekends and serves up everything from 32 ounce Miller High Life in a brown paper bag to an airplane sized bottle of Fernet Branca with a side of PBR (colloquially known as "bottle service"). Not quite sure what the real appeal of this place is, unless you're a hardcore anti-establishment hipster, but there's better dancing next door at Bootie and cheaper drinks in other dive bars closer to Market Street. |

07/12/2014 10:01 pmButter is a welcoming home of lost inhibitions. If you submit yourself to this urban redneck bar, you're almost guaranteed to have a great time. Wide range of music, ridiculous drinks, and food that you'd only eat after you've given up all hope. A great place to get rowdy. |

03/27/2014 8:20 pmTrailer park themed bar in the heart of Soma- awesome! Their drinks are decently priced. Their DJ is awesome- especially if you are a fan of music from the 90s and 00s! And how can you go wrong at a bar with a whole bunch of fried food- the tater tots with cheese sauce were devoured by my group! |

09/25/2015 5:48 amCocktails made with mixers like Hawaiian Punch and Tang, beer served in a brown paper bag and junk food like deep-fried Twinkies and chili cheese tater tots conjure up college days at this kitschy SoMa bar with a trailer park theme; it may be gimmicky and the dive bar decor is a little rough around the edges, but most are buttered up by the super-fun vibe. |
