The atmosphere food and staff were all amazing. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our time in the restaurant and are definitely planning to be return costumers.

We dined at Byrd & Baldwin last night. From the welcoming smiles of the valet and hostess, to the wonderful service given by the waitstaff, we really felt special. The dining room was full of people attending business dinners, people on their way to a show and people celebrating the holidays. Despite the full room, we always felt we were the most important people there. Our server David, was both professional and personable, and he guided us through our four course meal with ease. From the Oysters Rockerfeller to the Creme Brulee, everything was on point. My Filet Oscar was the best steak I have ever come across. I can't give enough praise for those responsible for this wonderful evening.

Be sure to make a reservation and understand that a collared shirt is required to sit in the formal dining room. My wife and i ate here for our anniversary and were extremely pleased with the wait staff and the management. Our steaks came out to perfection along with our soup and sides. We even got a tour of the wine seller, which is amazing and you should definitely do!

Be sure to arrive before 9 PM if you do not have a reservation. We arrived at 9:13 PM to an empty restaurant and before being seated downstairs at the bar, the hostess had to check with the manager...? Apparently, they do not accept walk-ins after 9:00 PM. Despite questionable customer service and seating policies, the food at Byrd & Baldwin Brothers is exceptional with steaks seasoned perfectly. The Maryland crab cakes taste great as well; however, they were bite size. I would recommend Byrd & Baldwin Brothers for steak lovers and BE SURE TO MAKE A RESERVATION.

I wish I could rate the food but the hostess wouldn't even seat us. When my husband and I walked through the door she asked if she could help us, with a very unwelcoming tone and facial expression. Of course we wish to be seated. After 30 seconds of "trying to find an option for us" , we were told that the bar would suite us. We were absolutely offended. We felt prejudged and insulted. We are a young African American couple who enjoy fine dining, but the help in this case, took it upon herself to make us feel unwelcomed. I feel sorry for her family and friends for having to deal with such a small minded person . We will NEVER again try to visit this place.
