03/13/2016 11:34 pmHere is why I gave this ONE star. If you are going to say Tex-Mex make it Tex-Mex. Me being from TEXAS I was looking for something close to home. This is not Tex-Mex. The Fajitas well that was a stir fry. Fajitas do not have an Asian taste to them. I am not sure what they are marinating their meat in, but it was either sesame sauce or orange chicken sauce as it had a sweet panda express flavor too it. Also, In TEXAS when you order fajitas you get rice and bean well because that is how we do it. The meat was cut into stir-fry pieces not fajita Pieces. The margaritas I do not believe have any liquor in them as I had two and felt nothing. I am weak when it comes to tequila so one much less two would have done me in for the night. Oh wait i am not done. the Queso fundito .. WTF is that... you you think of queso with chorizo you except it to be good. I don't know what that was. It tasted like shredded cheese you melt to put on mac and cheese with chorizo links yes I said links cut up on top.............. UMHH NO>. it should be liquid cheese melt-able not mac and cheese type cheese with crumbled greasy sausage in it not cut up links. The queso I make at home with Velveeta, rotel and spicy hamburger meat was better than that and cheaper too...If the manager needs me to come show the cooks how to make Tex-Mex I will be more than happy. Not to mention The food was luke warm when I got it not sizzling hot like it should be. SO not worth the money. If you want good TEX-MEX take the trip and go to Uncle Julios in Plymouth Meeting Mall... That's home... and 1 margarita is worth the drive... |

12/27/2015 3:29 amBayou's 'other half.' Like with most couples, I prefer Cactus. The focus is less squarely on the booze, meaning the food is much better. Things are still rather affordable, but better. The ambiance is consistent with most any place in Manayunk: a converted rowhome that is longer than it is wide. There isn't much seating or space at all, but a good place to grab a bite or a drink. |
