Bad service, okay food (gyro was very disappointing) and prices are a bit high. I will not come back.

Mediterranean/greek food lovers rejoice. I grew up with traditional greek dishes and am familiar with home style cooking. Furthermore the inside provides that home dining feeling. A home style dining theme to set a casual mode for you and your party. Cafe Athena has a great variety of dishes for meat and mon-meat lovers.

Be sure to get Saganaki!!! >_

I've been here a few times now with my book club and it's always a great meal with lots of menu options. I opt for the Greek meatballs that are served with roasted potatoes and make sure to ask for a side of tzatziki sauce. It's a great portion and perfect for dinner.

We usually have the same server who takes care of our usually large table of chatting gals and there is rarely a misstep in service. There is plenty of parking in the public lots and if you're craving something sweet after, Yogurt On the Rocks is in the same area.

This was my first time eating here. My brother and my sister in-law have eaten here many times and have spoke very highly about it. I had the Gyro plater my god that's a lot of food! Lol Pretty killer food and you can bring your dog if you sit out front

good, not great. We did pick up from here last night. Me and my friend both got the Gyro Plate (should we have switched it up and gotten 2 different things, sure, but we were hungry and it was late).

the plate was plentiful and there was plenty to eat between the gyro meat, the eggplant type salad, some pita some rice and tomatoes. The meat was a little on the drier side, but still tasty.

we also got an order of hummus which was good. you can very easily screw up hummus, but this was solid.

last note: the tzatziki sauce: i rate a greek/Mediterranean place on their yogurt sauce. this was a 3.5/5. it wasn't too watery, had cucumber in it, had a good taste.

I would come back here again, although i may try a different entree.

This Pacific Beach Hellenic is a "favorite" for "delicious", "well-priced" Greek fare including "many healthy and vegetarian dishes" served in a "sunny", casual setting; a "pleasant" staff and a "nice atmosphere for conversation" increase the appeal, and it's "also good for takeout."
