Housed inside the Financial District's Langham Hotel, this top-notch, weekdays-only option provides Contemporary New England cuisine in a nicely appointed formal setting that's a natural for a power breakfast or business lunch (there's no dinner service); also popular is Saturday's chocolate brunch, a fun splurge for those who like decadent desserts, offered September through June only.

After a very long wait for breakfast food, it was served at nearly room temperature. After a server brought the food he never returned. Don't bother.

The Chocolate Bar at the Langham hotel is a must for anyone who loves chocolate. The Langham goes beyond your ordinary chocolate desserts, with items such as a crepe bar, tortes, cakes, puddings, macaroons, and more. There are even several choices for vegans. Desserts are artfully displayed, and the waiters are helpful and constantly replenishing all desserts. When you need to cleanse your palate, homemade kettle chips and popcorn do the trick. While the chocolate bar is a bit overwhelming, who wouldn't want to be overwhelmed by chocolate?

Seriously, the chocolate buffet is like a dream come true for anyone who has an inkling of desire for chocolate and not afraid to indulge. Yes, it's a tiny bit pricey, but if you come hungry and don't eat the entire portion of every dessert, you can get your money's worth - I certainly did!

I didn't count, but there must had been ~40, if not more, variations in chocolate desserts, and I had one of each. Tip - bring someone along who's willing to try everything with you - that way, you can just split each dessert and not waste it.

Minus one star because the quality is not consistent across all desserts - some were good, some were so-so, and some, I would not want to try again.

On the plus side, the decor, ambiance, and structure of the building is beautiful.

Another tip: wear stretchable pants.

One more tip: get coffee, no sugar, so you can reset your taste buds after every couple bites.

Went to the Café Fleuri inside of the Langham Hotel for their Chocolate Bar to celebrate my grandmothers 70th birthday. After dinner, when she was served her candlelit birthday cupcake, she noticed it was covered with ants! The waiter was then notified, and she was brought out a second cupcake, which also had the ants. The manager called it a "visual problem" on the waiters behalf and still made the party pay for their meals! I would never have thought this kind of thing would happen at a so-called 5 star establishment! This was a completely unacceptable. I will not be returning, and do not recommend going there!!

I went here specifically for the all-you-can-eat chocolate bar, and was very impressed. You have to be in the mood for strictly chocolate when you go here, and if that's the case, you'll love it. Everything chocolate you could think of, Cafe Fleuri had it -- from whoopie pies to cupcakes to chocolate crepes to chocolate mousse, an ice cream bar, and even piles of chocolate candy. Their chocolate martinis are also decadent. The only thing lacking? A little savory to balance out all the sweet.
