Food:

I order food for 5 peoples and they delivered I gave good tips but when i opened my food box there were no spoon, fork or plate or napkins..like nothing..i was so shocked and then food were not fresh they delivered nothing but crap.. i will never ever order food from them..and nobody should..i never do this review thing..but their service was so bad i had to write something.

Having placed an online order with cafe india and after waiting an hour, we received a phone call to say that the driver had been sent home early and our order could not be met. I would give cafe india a dismal rating for customer service and further, the intelligent person who decided to send home a driver early and offers a petty apology needs to consider taking a class in how to keep the customer happy. Perhaps their website should say to the customer before paying that there is a chance that an order cannot be fulfilled because someone decided to send the driver home. In all, a poor service and one that I would not recommend.

My girlfriend and I went to Cafe India for lunch during one of the first days of the new management. The lunch buffet was excellent, and the restauranteur was very kind. The food was all wonderful, and decidedly inexpensive for the quality (and quantity) of what we ate. We were the only people in the restaurant, but I imagine that that will change when other people realize what Cafe India has to offer.

under the new management of Cafe India is awesome. The atmosphere is "interesting,"and the wait staff is excellent. The Garlic lamb , chicken tikka masala , lamb vindaloo dish and Garlic Cilantro Naan bread are fantastic . They have lunch buffet too just only $9.95. Even the chiya was delicious.Highly recommend this restaurant.

Hi Im surprised to read all the bad Indian reviews by Indians, as an Indian myself visiting from Sunnyvale Ca. I found this restaurant to be refreshing for the second time. Its unique, authentic home-style (healthy), and laid back... we waited about 20min for our food, bc they are more popular during the holidays and it was well worth the wait.. the pretty Indian waitress reminded us that "no fast food attitude was allowed !".. my kids ran into the " cafe india project room" next door which forced me to buy a shirt for my wife and look at some amazing art work. my wife kids and I visit San Diego every Christmas break and we will definitely come back next year.
