Food:

Went for dinner with a large group. The service was attentive without being smothering. The sommelier was always close by but never pushy. Wine list was excellent- much better than the bar list, but then it is a French restaurant. There was a little concern over food allergies, so if you have any, let them know before you order anything. They were very accommodating and even remade several things without those ingredients for those guests. The chicken was good, the fish was excellent. The octopus was delicious and I kept sopping with the sauce. Salads were good but not outstanding. The desserts (chocolate cake, fruit tart, and ice cream) were marvelous. The chocolate came out on a hot board. So good. Great for a date or group. Atmosphere is a little dark but quiet enough that you can hold a conversation without raising your voice.

Decent, not great, bruch. Ferociously a la carte menu. High prices, indifferent service. Kinda like it anyway. Great pancakes and... Gulp... Egg white fritatta.

I can only speak for the bakery and cafe portion of this restaurant, but it is an adorable place in a good location. They good coffee and cold brew and amazing croissants and muffins. My friend got an amazing ice cream sandwich with homemade ice cream that was top-notch.

My boyfriend and I our recurring customer at your Lafayette but the experience we had last night definitely made up my mind that I will never return! I am extremely upset with our experience and the way we were treated last night! I am baffled on how your hostesses and manager treated us. I made a reservation on Wednesday April 30th at 8:30 for 3 people being that my reservation was at 8:30 rushing to get there since it was pouring rain out and I still made sure to arrived 10 to 15 mins early. Once I arrived I approached the hostess stand I then gave my name and was excited to sit right away since there were NUMEROUS 4 top tables available and there was no one waiting in the lobby. The hostess then told me that our table was paying and we would sit shortly. A little confused but completely understanding my party and I then waited in the lobby area till our table was ready. Once 15 mins went by and it was now 8:40 and those 4 top tables were still open I then approached the hostess stand and wanted to speak to a manager. I was then approached by a female manager who told me that they were holding those table for a 8:30 reservation for 4 at this time (NOW HOLDING the table for 20 mins since it is now 8:45). At this point I am extremely embarrassed that we invited our close family friend from OUT OF TOWN to join us when we were BEING TREATED SO DISRESPECTFULLY! Then seeing that the reservation for four walked in 15 to 20 mins late and just being sat right away was mindbogglingly to me! At this point my party has been standing in the waiting area for 50 mins in a restaurant THAT'S HAD OPEN TABLES OPEN THE ENTIRE TIME THAT I ARRIVED! Honestly if it would of been just my boyfriend and I we would have left! But since we were with our friend family who was visiting us from OUT OF TOWN we decided to stay! The manager FINALLY approached us and says that our table is ready . IT IS NOW 8:50 and we've been waiting a total of an hour, AN HOUR CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!!! Then to see that we were being sat at the SMALLEST TABLE I'VE EVER SEEN I'M COMPLETELY Speech-LESS! I will never go back and I will make sure to tell EVERYONE we know how POORLY your company is run! SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!
