08/04/2014 3:48 pmAnytime I got to work from home when I lived in the West Village this was one of my two spots. During the day it is well lit, calm and a friendly and happy environment. It is not cheap as their yogurt parfait and latte probably cost me more than $13, but it was worth it to spend the majority of my day in peace there. Besides the free wifi and outlets, the space is beautifully designed. |

11/27/2013 1:58 pmPartially hidden in the small, narrow streets of the West Village, Cafe Minerva is a great restaurant that attracts a local crowd as well as numerous loyal patrons. My friends rave about this cafe for its good food as well as $20 bottle of wines, which you can choose from a list of 20. The malbec wine was surprisingly smooth and tasty. For dinner, the pasta dishes are a modest but good sized portion and also delicious. The paninis are also a good choice. Prices are very reasonable with paninins at $8 and pasta dishes at $14. The service was great, with our waitress checking on us often to see if we needed water, wine, or more food. All in all, this was a great find and I definitely will be returning with more friends. |
