Food:

This is the place for breakfast/lunch type food. I have been back multiple times and will keep coming. You have to try the pancakes.

Food:

The place is very small. Not very sophisticated, and crowded. You can hear buzz of voices and laughter. The food is great. I loved hash salmon, it has lots of bell pepper and onions. Two pieces of breads that come with the dish are fresh and delicious. The portions are huge. You can easily be filled with half of the plate. Their pancakes are gigantic. Served very fast and friendly staff. The only problem is the wait time and parking.

If you are wondering if the line will be worth the wait, it is. When family and friends visit me, this is one of the top breakfast place I treat them to. How can you not with captain crunch pancakes? Who does that? Cafe on Park does and they do it perfect every time. The eggs Benedict are another must try, an amazing forkful of goodness in every bite. The place is full of energy with guests chatting away and bustling staff providing excellent service including keeping your coffee cup full - so important for all those coffee lovers including me. The walls are covered with interesting local art and photos. Really, just a wonderful neighborhood cafe that I'm glad I get to enjoy.

Large portions and convenient location. They are your typical breakfast fare with solid prices and decent food.

Cafe on Park is perfect for those who don't want to wait 2+ hours on a Sunday for brunch. They are a no-frills cafe. They will refill your coffee cup after cup and bring you ginormous plates of egg scrambles and pancakes. They'll get you happy and full, with a small side of charm.

Walk off the gluttony south towards Balboa Park. Park Ave is lovely each season, every season.

I truly love this place. I use to work there as a server at night when we had dinner service and the pepole were wonderful and lively as well is the food. The employees ways enjoy their jobs and the owner is a wonderful person. You get a lot of food for your money.
