08/16/2015 1:11 amI was extremely disappointed, oysters were not fresh, table was located in a walkway, Bloody Mary mediocre, wine was spilled on my Son. This was my Son's Graduation Dinner from SMU. This was one of my Favorite Restaurants in Dallas, I will not be going back!! Offered free deserts, although I think our dinners should have been covered. |

06/19/2015 12:51 amWe made reservations based on a close friend's recommendation for Cafe Pacific. We were super excited to try it as we had just driven over 4 hours to get to Dallas. As soon as we walked in, it felt like a record player scratched loudly as EVERYONE stopped and stared at us. We are in our 40's and as I looked around we had everyone by 20+ years...which isn't a big deal to us. We are super easy going about trying new places. We just want great quality food - and don't mind paying an adequate price for it. Then things turned sour as the seating host looked my husband up and down and VERY RUDELY said "you barely made the dress code!" My husband was dressed in Nordstroms shorts and and collared shirt- he was casual but in no way violating their dresscode... which stated NO flip flops and NO T-shirts (which he had NEITHER on). I was flabbergasted! We would have breathed new life into this restaurant. We instantly decided that we were out of there! As business owners, we know that customer service is of upmost importance and we were treated so very poorly! My advice on dining at Cafe Pacific..... NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY EVEN IF THE FOOD IS GOOD. We headed to Mi Cocina (right across the street) - which WELCOMED us with open arms! |
