Cafe Ponte is unquestionably the best French dining in Pinellas. The reviewers who said to avoid or that it is over priced are better suited for the Golden Coral all you can eat. We travel the world dining and reviewing in the finest restaurants without a budget and the food and service here cannot be slighted. For those of you, and you know who you are, please stay away so the real oneophiles and gourmands can take your table. We have dined here countless times. "Phenomenal", "beautifully plated" New American food is the draw at chef-owner Chris Ponte's Clearwater "treasure" that delivers a "superb" dining experience "in every respect"; servers are "attentive but out of the way" in the "elegant" setting with occasional live piano, and though it's "pricey" overall, regulars say the early-bird prix fixe "represents excellent value."
