Had a fabulous birthday dinner for my husband's 60th birthday. It was also restaurant week so most of the eleven of us ate off of that menu. The sauteed Brussel sprouts were fabulous, as was the rest of the meal. Can't wait to go back.

Really superb. Starting with the salads: Caesar, crisp lettuce, fried anchovies (1st time and excellent). Butter lettuce fresh, very good blue cheese dressing. Small plates: full amount of mussels, very good. Shrimp Flatbread excellent. The beef bistro was fabulous, beef (6 oz), crisp onion rings, sliced potatoes, great reduction sauce. Pork chops, thick, juicy. Fellow in the adjoining table raved about the salmon, the piece of fish and the sauce. Everything we tried was great. BYOB with corkage.

Excellent group of bar tenders who actually know the wines and specialty drinks. Steal of the century is the mini burgers at happy hour. I like the lamb loli-pops and scallops. Very relaxed atmosphere. If your in a hurry please go to a fast food restaurant. Piano players with real credentials. I wish the outside deck was a little bigger so I could smoke a cigar. Cafe Trio is a wonderful place to go for a great meal. On this visit, we had the Halibut special and the Scallops. The Halibut was flaky, moist and delicious. The scallops were huge and seared to perfection. The Brussel Sprouts appetizer was a perfect start as the flavors and seasonings were a great combination. Cafe Trio also has a full bar with a nice selection of beers and wine. Highly recommend you try Cafe Trio when you are on or near the Plaza.
