06/09/2015 1:43 pmOne step inside this place, and it feels like you've stepped into another world. Various knick-knacks can be found all over the bar. More importantly, their drinks are solid, especially their greyhounds, which they make with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and serve with a generous grapefruit slice to boot. |

03/13/2015 8:06 pmI used to love this place but the transgender bartenders have been treating men more and more disrespectful and discriminating lately. If a woman walks in, she is instantly helped but some of these bartenders have such a hatred for men you can almost see them foaming at the mouth. |

10/24/2014 7:25 pmSuper weird but awesome bar. Has tons of shit on the walls that is just wrong and miss-matched. However there is a good crowd that comes and people are friendly. The servers seemed nice and the frond patio allows you to smoke without having to sit in the cold. The back room is spacious and decorated cool. |

06/23/2014 2:06 pmThis place's claim to fame is their Greyhounds with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Yes they are just as yummy and delicious as everyone claims. We came here on a random night when they had a live zydeco band- it was super packed and since the bar is long and narrow it was a little hard to move. But we loved it! I love that there is so much random crap all over. You can have a scavenger hunt in this bar alone. |

10/14/2015 8:15 amYou'll never run out of things to look at at this quirky Oakland hipster hangout, where gregarious owner Peter Van Kleef has arranged his crazy knickknacks all over the cramped space; grapefruit squeezed fresh in front of you makes for delicious greyhounds and other drinks whose decent price compensates for cover charges when an interesting mix of bands (jazz and blues, alt and funk) takes to the tiny stage. |
