Very good food! Ran out of too many dishes to be a 5 star.

Highly recommended! The duck was delicious as was the octopus starter. Very attentive and friendly staff.

Cafe Zinho is a cute little restaurant tucked away on a street corner in Shadyside that serves up Portuguese food. Everything looked great on the menu, but execution was flawed through out our meal. Also, their dishes are not really Portuguese.

For appetizers, we got chicken livers and portuguese bread pudding with mushroom cream sauce. The chicken livers lacked flavor, which is unfortunate because chicken livers on their own are not very tasty. The bread pudding was pretty good though.

Entrees were, on the whole, not impressive. The lamb chops were obviously over cooked (we ordered medium rare, and the insides were almost fully cooked). The duck breast which people raved about online were tough and the sauce was too sweet. The seafood stew lacked flavor. The lamb burger was also overcooked.

congratulations, you have succeeded in serving the worst food that I have had in years. The salad was fresh, but the dressing was nonexistent and tasteless. The lamb burger was "turning" as my girlfriend says, in other words, not fresh, but "old" tasting.. not good for lamb. The burger was smothered with this awful goat's cheese, which I scraped off. The bun was no better than wonder bread... the potato salad almost had flavor, but the potatoes were hard and somewhat crunchy...
next the the potato salad the chef placed two hard unripened tomato slices with some sort of slaw on top. The slaw was actually good, but I was disappointed to find that they had supplied me with 3-4 bites.
However, not to be too hard core, the chocolate desert was delicious.
Overall, the best part of the meal was the bottle of wine that we brought.
Next time I want a burger, I shall visit 5 guys.. tastier and juicier.
enjoy your experience.
Ramon was an excellent waiter, even though he lauded ALL of the dishes instead of being honest about our choices. I like a waiter who is not afraid to tell it like it is.

A hidden treasure off the main drag of Ellsworth. Cannot praise this place enough. Everyone was incredibly friendly and they were willing to accomodate me and my dog with a little street side table. Portobella ravioli was delicious. I'll be going back for the friendly service alone. heads up tho- its cash or check only.
