10/22/2011 1:48 pmWent here for dinner with a bachelorette party, when we walked in the host looked at us and responded with a snarl "can I help you with something?" Thought maybe he was just having a bad day, but all of the staff we interacted with had the same demeanor. We got one menu with was the four course menu, and our waitress walked away. We had to wait for her to come back and we inquired about any other menu options. The service continued to be terrible, as well as the food. I could've cooked something at home out of a box that tasted better than their pasta. We were all highly unsatisfied with not only the food but the service. I will NEVER return here and will NEVER recommend anyone to visit. |

01/13/2010 1:06 pmI was craving bruschetta after watching the movie Julie and Julia, so I stopped in at Caffe Sienna which is attached to my office building to have some for lunch. However, they did not have it on their lunch menu. I was about to walk away disappointed when the waiter offered to check if they could make a plate for me. He came back and said "Its ok, I will make it for you". I was so touched by the courtesy. For the main course he advised me to order something light like a soup or a salad, but the crab crepe sounded so intriguing, I had to taste it. Wow, it exceeded my expectation. Two delicate crepes stuffed to bursting point with crab meat.. and drizzled with a generous amount of a heavenly sauce. The sauce made the crepes soggy, but that just enhanced the taste of the dish as a whole. Then the bruschetta arrived, and I was a tad bit disappointed. Although the plate was colorfully decorated, the bruschetta itself was not as savory as I had hoped it would be. I could hardly taste the tomato as the topping contained more mushroom and artichoke. It was lightly drizzled with a red wine sauce which somehow didnt match the overall taste of bruschetta. I guess the dish is their improvised version of the bruschetta, but it did nothing to sattisfy my craving for a traditional bruschetta drizzling with overripe tomatoes and olive oil. But the crab crepe more than made my day! |
