Have had cakes and cupcakes made for every special event since my daughter's wedding cake turned out so PERFECT, and beautiful. Everything they do here is so professionally done and tastes great. I highly recommend them!!

I had ordered linens through a lady who does business with cakes by Karen. The 2 ladies working the Northglenn store acted as if I was an inconvenience, because I was there to pick up linens rather than cake. They acted completely oblivious to the fact that they do business with her, and were VERY rude! By the time I dropped them back off, they had done ruined their business with me. Not to mention their store is gross, cluttered and dirty.

Food:

They made a wonderful Mickey Mouse cake for my son's first birthday. It ended up being way too much cake for us to eat ourselves but the cake was meant for 12 and only 4 showed up... I will be going to them any time I can as long as I live in the area.

Thank you for a great experience! The custom Pink John Deere cake that I ordered turned out perfect and everyone loved the details and how delicious it was. I will definitely order again from this bakery.

We have been using Cakes by Karen for many years so I only thought of them when it came to our wedding cake. We went in for a tasting and picked out our design. It was supposed to be delivered on March 29th for our wedding. When we started taking pictures I was informed that our cake hadnt arrived yet. We had multiple people try to call them frantically trying to get our cake but they were not open. I was devasted and still am so upset that our cake never arrived. Luckily, our caterer was able to get us a couple of sheet cakes.
Karen herself called us the next day very apologetic and upset. She explained that our order had been filed under the wrong date. She refunded the money we paid for the cake along with the extra money we had to pay the caterer as well as offered to make us a cake. However, I am still so devastated that we will never have a true wedding cake. As stupid as it sounds, I had dreamed of what our cake would look like and even had the cake table set up in the middle of the room to show it off only for it to sit empty the entire night. Even now a couple of days after the wedding, I am still so incredibly sad that this happened. I do not even know how they could make it up to us at this point.
