My wife and I plus our 18 month old grandson had lunch there about a week ago. We were looking forward to the new menus and weren't disappointed. Lots of variety and very reasonable prices to compliment the always delicious food. I had a hot meatloaf sandwich that was better than homemade. The staff were terrific as always, and the hostess even brought a complimentary cup of chicken pastine soup to occupy our little friend while we waited for the food to arrive. Mandy, our server, was her usual prompt, attentive self. Calabria's is the perfect family restaurant for us, and Chef Michael runs a wonderful operation.

Good food with a welcoming feeling. The staff is super friendly and down to earth. The decor is dated, but thats not something that bothers me. The prices are very reasonable. Give it a try.

We eat there at least once per week and love it! The food is great (I highly recommend the Chicken Pastina Soup), the service is always good and the people are friendly! This is a real, home town treat!

Calabria's is a FAMILY restaurant, a point some reviewers seem to miss. If you're looking for an extensive wine list and fabulous décor, Calabria's is not the restaurant for you. If you want an inviting atmosphere with warm, friendly service and good food at very reasonable prices, run, don't walk, to Calabria's. Yes, the décor is "dated", but it's bright and attractive, and both the restaurant and restrooms are immaculate. The servers strike that "just right balance" between being helpfully attentive and "omnipresent." The food is more "Italian home cooking" than gourmet, but I would put Calabria's "Pasta Calabria" and "Chicken Vesuvius" up against any "chi-chi" restaurant in the city and at half the price. Bottom line, if you'd enjoy a relaxing, tasty meal served by a staff who treat you like family, Calabria's is your restaurant.

I cannot attest to the food, as that we left before we were seated. My mother and I were looking to celebrate my 50th birthday, and were looking for a new place to go to. She called almost a week in advance for a reservation. As that we are not from the area, we asked for directions. An employee named Ashley, gave her directions, took the reservations, and after we left, I found out even took a cake order. Now, the directions we were given was to go thru the Liberty tubes and make a left at the first Sunoco gas station. The first Sunoco gas station is up by Ft. Couch Rd. What the employee should have said, was an EXXON GAS STATION. Needless to say, we were lost and all over for 45 minutes! Now, as if that wasn't bad enough, we were told by Ashley that valet parking would be available. When we finally got there, the parking lot was a bedlun, no valet parking, no where to park the car. So we called from the cell phone into the restaurant to be to told to "hold tight, as that people were leaving. So, now, I get out of the car, go in and ask to speak with the manager. The owner comes out, looks at our directions, and says that they're perfect. EXXON AND SUNOCO ARE TWO DIFFERENT NAMES. SO THEY WERE NOT PERFECT! As for the valet parking, that he clearly didn't have, his lame excuse, and I quote, "I'm not going to apologize for being busy." No one was asking for that, but where was the valet parking? So then we go up to the lady who was taking the reservations/seating, and she also had an "I don't care attitude." Get this: No one knew who Ashley was. They claim they don't have anyone there by that name... Further, this lady had a snotty attitude, because by this time, I didn't even want to stay there, and I quote her, "I don't think we can please you." YOU DIDN'T EVEN TRY! So, now, one hour later, a half of tank of gas, total frustration, we leave. Now for the owner being so busy, he comes out to the lot to give us directions to go back. We needed food, hospitality, and someone just to have the balls to admit that an employee made a mistake. Maybe because we were only a party of two, we were expendable... I don't know... All I can say, is that it put a damper on a special birthday, The only two good thing,s that came of it were we didn't spend money in a place that didn't deserve it, and that we found a better place, that welcomed two people without a reservation that was busy, excellent food, and service beyond compare. A place that advertised valet parking, AND ACTUALLY HAD IT. As for the tiramisu that you got stuck with, maybe you and the ghost named Ashley can literally, and figuratively EAT IT! We would never even try your place again, let alone refer anyone there, and will go to Rico's as that they know how to treat people.. An establishment, yes, should have good food, but if the service and the attitude sucks, then the food isn't worth it....
