06/03/2015 8:44 pmThe pastries and bread are absolutely delicious but it's honestly a shame that the employees demeanor and lack of customer service skills make business transactions beyond difficult thus causing a negative experience almost each and every time. The front service ladies, if they can even be called with such respect because the women honestly act like children, have no regard for the business they are representing. Most walk to and fro with above class, snooty, attitude ridden facial expressions acting as if they want no part of being there to assist their customers/guests speaking with urban vernacular and "ghetto-like" colloquialisms not realizing the inadvertent defamation they are causing to their employer and place of business. Unfortunately these Ill mannered women fit the typical stereotype of what urbanized, less fortunate, quite frankly ghetto individuals are like with their lazy, righteous, everyone owes me something, unempathetic, lack of business minded sense of selves attitudes. People may disagree with my choice of words but I am quite simply flabbergasted as to how I have experienced such rude, blatant ignorance each and every time I've gone there and as scrumptious of a bakery as Calandra's is, I will NOT be going back there ever again! |

10/12/2013 5:30 pmTHE PASTRIES AND BREAD ARE DELICIOUS! BUT the employees are something different. I've never encountered such nasty people in business in my life. I mean I'm not even surprised because most of the girls in there all looked like teenagers or very young adults. I wonder if the owners even know how nasty these girls are. You smile and say hello to them and they don't even respond. You thank them for the transaction and they don't even acknowledge you. I"ll just stick to my town bakery where employees actually know how to act! Thanks but no thanks Calandras. |

06/22/2015 3:00 pmThese "exceptional" bakeries are deemed "as good as it gets" by their fan base, given their "enormous selection" of "consistently high-quality" cakes, cookies, pastries and some of the "best bread around", served "fresh and warm" throughout the day; further appeal comes from moderate prices and, in the case of the Caldwell location, a setting within Calandra's Italian Village that "feels like Italy." |
