Had a huge fruit fly problem. Did not want protein in my martini! The place was almost empty but even then the service was slow. Don't go!

Caliterra a BIG MISTAKE!!! - T - Aug 19, 2008
We visited Caliterra Tuesday, August 19, 2008, Restaurant Week. This restaurant was infested with fruit flies. When we finally got our meals, we could not enjoy eating it or enlist in a decent conversation, because we had to put so much effort into keeping them out of our meals. The waitstaff was very slow unattentive and forgetful. I ordered my meal twice. The water glassses were empty for 15 minutes. One of the other guests waited equally as long for butter for the bread. Now for the food, when they finally brought it 1/2 hour later , it was not at all as the menu suggested. Although, two of the seafood cosmopolitan salads contained all of the stated ingredients, one salad was missing the mango and red currant and greens. The same happened with the entrees, the sauteed statler chicken breast did not contain any squash as indicated on the menu. A comment was made to the waitstaff who just walked away. He did return approximately 10 minutes later to say that they had run out of squash. The sauteed breast of duck, was overcooked and had maybe 2 tablespoons of vidalia oinion quinoa, ( I assume they ran out of that too), and no fava beans. It was covered with too much peach and raspberry chutney with four, undercooked? ( raw ) stringbeans. Surprisingly, we were never informed of the lack of these ingredients and/or given an opportunity to request another dish.
All in All this was the absolute WORST restaurant experience, I have ever had and I strongly recommend that others resist! Fruit flies, slow service by forgetful waitstaff, under and/or over prepared food missing ingredients!
