Callahan's Pub & Brewery, San Diego, California Restaurant Details

Food:

One of the Best Irish bars in town, wings are great ! service is always good, lots of craft beer, growlers to take home... Callahans own beers are superior, My lady friend and I often come and eat and drink before we catch a movie in Mira Mesa.
The blueberry or Red beer is recommended... appetizer menu is superb, Irish Nachos great, wings of fire or terriaki wings with blue cheese !! The rest of the menu is worth repeat visits, they serve LARGE PORTIONS.

This place has been in Mira Mesa for a long time and honestly don't know why. It's just over priced bar food. They have Wednesday wing night, which brings in a huge crowd. But their wings aren't even that good. The best thing about this place is the big beer selection, but I'd rather drink somewhere else.

This place has a great selection of craft beer as well as great pub food. I ended up going for their wing night on Wednesday and ended up ordering Irish nachos as well. Delicious!

If you plan to come here for lunch, plan to take a while. The food is okay but service is slow. I usually come here for the beer - but being in mira mesa, there's always tons of other options.

Food is generic pub food, and though I don't mind eating it, it isn't particularly inventive. Their beer selection should be good, but no matter what they serve, I always get an off flavour in the beer, and I suspect it is from improperly cleaned lines.

In San Diego where good beer bars are plentiful, I have no need of Callahan's.
