Cancun Mexican Restaurant, Waterville, Maine Restaurant Details

TAKE THIS FROM A PERSON THAT EATS MEXICAN FOOD ON A DAILY BASIS, FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! I HAD THE CHICKEN AND CARNE ASADA TACOS. I LOVED THE ATMOSPHERE; GREAT LOOKING PLACE WITH AMAZING MUSIC.

I had the fish tacos the night I went, and it's made with tilapia according to that night's waiter. It was way too strong of a fishy taste for me to stomach though. The salsa and chips were good.

My boyfriend and I ate here and we weren't impressed. The atmosphere is ok but the food and the service need a lot of work as well as the bathrooms. We had 4 different people wait on us. We did not really have a designated server, which we thought was weird. We ordered tacos and they came out looking as if they were just slapped onto the plate and then the toppings were just thrown on them. At other restaurants, tacos are meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes on a tortilla. Tacos here were sloppy meat and sautéed onions on a bland soggy tortilla. I had to ask for lettuce and tomatoes, and when I got them, the lettuce tasted like a chlorinated town water. Don't even get me started on the refried beans. When I saw my plate, I was unsure if I should even eat any of it or not. I am also hoping I do not come down with food poisoning.

I don't normally ever write reviews but I feel like I need to warn people.

Cancun was one of the worst most unprofessional restaurants that I have been to. We made reservations ahead of time; however they overbooked and unfortunately cancelled our reservations on the day of our event. Planning an event for several this was a major setback. When speaking over the phone the person was very rude and sounded very annoyed. On the one occasion I did eat the disgusting food at this restaurant due to very unfortunate circumstances I'm pretty I got food poisoning and shat for two days straight. The food came out very late and and cold and contained several questionable and unidentifiable "things". There are very few places where I have been treated with this little respect for the customer. I would NEVER come here again.
