06/25/2016 12:00 pmDiners celebrating special occasions fill this old-school Downtowner in the beautifully restored Hermitage Hotel for top-notch Southern classics; outstanding service comes with the territory, along with an expensive bill, and don't miss a peek at the world-famous art deco men's room. |

02/29/2016 2:44 amFor the price it was not okay. The wait staff brought our food and placed it in front of the wrong person, several items were forgotten and I had plastic in my food which they apologized for several times. They all just seemed new. Which is fine when dining for 10 dollars a plate but not 45?... |

10/23/2015 1:55 amMy husband and I ate here a few weeks back for our anniversary dinner. I ordered the carmelized scallops (which were not carmelized in any way). The scallops were uncooked on the bottom, and the skillet they were served in was completely cold. We asked why it wasn't hot, and why the bottom of the scallops didn't look even seared. We got some fluffy explanation, and the waiter showed no concern about it. Since no one seemed worried about it and I didn't want to come off like a brat, I continued to eat the scallops against my better judgement. I mean, a nice restaurant wouldn't serve undercooked seafood right? Wrong, I woke up to stomach pains and was sick all the next morning. Since I was only in town for 2 days, I did not get a chance to follow up. Very disappointing, and disgusting. Happy anniversary to me! Oh, and the crappy strawberry shortcake that they gave to us as an apology for the scallops, was a few soggy strawberries on what tasted like a dried bland sand loaf with ready whip. Nice looking place, nice enough staff. Awful food. Avoid if you don't want diahreah! |

09/21/2015 5:24 pmMy husband and I came to Capitol Grille for our one year anniversary and it was the perfect choice. Upon making the reservation I informed them it was an anniversary and we had a lovely table with rose petals scattered on it. The food was delicious, I had the trout with mac and cheese (yum) and my husband said he had the best steak of his life. |

09/03/2015 4:52 pmThis was my first trip to Nashville. Our waiter was Ian. I was so impressed with his politeness, attentiveness, and all around good service while we were there. He made you feel like you were there for your very own special day and I really appreciated it. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Unforgettable for sure. |
