10/01/2015 11:06 pmHad dinner there last night and as usual it was very good. The only regret I had and it is bugging me is the lackluster wine list and how much they over charge for the wines. Maybe 5x in some cases Remole $29.00 . Greg you have to be kidding me. I can buy that retail for $8.99 (so 4x in this case as you are not paying retail and you may even have a BTG program going with the distributor). I can deal with 3x and I would love to have it at 2x but 4x and above. I will reconsider next time. If you want 4x then put some great wines on the list. Otherwise please don't take advantage of me. |

09/24/2015 4:08 amThe hostesses was rude, the appetizer and soup was okay. The entrees were awful! Veal was way over cooked and harder to chew than jerky and the shrimp was over cooked as well. Both were way too salty. Took forever to get our entrees that we barely ate and then another 20 minute wait to pay for food we did not eat. |

06/15/2015 4:51 amWe bombarded the place for a large to go order for a progressive dinner group date. Although it was stressful for them, they handled it very well. A waiter met our group outside the restaurant and treated us respectfully and quickly. We greatly appreciate the way they handled us despite a full restaurant on a busy night. |

09/27/2013 3:19 amI live near San Francisco so I am able to enjoy amazing cuisine all the time. NEVER have I had such delicious food, fantastic service (and generous wine pouring :). The redone atmosphere captures the old Italian places of my youth on Federal Hill in Rhode Island plus adds a lovely, creative twist for a modern feel without losing the "old italian warmth". My husband and I delivered our daughter, a freshman, to CU Boulder and it was great to stumble on a perfect place to eat so close to campus. I am almost embarrassed to say, but after struggling through Saturday night traffic trying to find a parking place on Pearl St., we returned to Carelli's for another fabulous meal. I had the linquine with clams, which I make an extremely good version of myself, and it was unbelievable. I even brought the clamshells home with me, they were so beautiful. I would give this restaurant a 10 stars if Yelp had it. We had no problems with management and they worked with me both nights to give me the private table I wanted. One in front of the fire, and the other next to the window looking out. Ten stars! I'll be back for Family Weekend on Oct. 5th and will have a group with me to enjoy the fine food and service again. |
