Carfagna's Kitchen, Columbus, Ohio, Pizza Restaurant Details

Food:

Excellent Italian Food. I have not found anywhere in Columbus that makes homemade pasta including the spaghetti which was clearly made fresh there but still very thin. The lasagna and ravioli were excellent and the marinara sauce was tasty. We tried spinach Alfredo dip and their Bruschetta which were both good. We waited a while for a table but it was a Saturday. Drinks are not self-serve as it apparently used to be. This is a full service restaurant. Employees were very friendly especially the bartender.

Excellent Italian food and a restaurant where you will run into the owner. They also have gluten free pasta and other options.

The butternut squash pasta was seasonal and I was very excited to try it. Unfortunately it was quite bland and had very little flavor. I was disappointed for the cost and may try a different dish if I ever come back into town. Also, the Italian wedding soup only had one meatball! At least put a few more in... overall okay food, too expensive, but good experience with the waiting staff. Very quick

Ok, so I am pretty blunt, but that is part of my charm ;-)
Anyone who has given this place a negative rating is one of two things: They are either idiots that dont know good Italian food or they are plants from other area restaurants directed here to tear this place down. No, I dont live in Columbus. I live in North Carolina, but was born in Brooklyn, NY. I am Italian, so if anyone knows good italian food, IT IS ME !! I come to Columbus once a year for work and I am here now for my 4th visit. I have been here three previous times and each time I leave I cant wait to get back. This food is GREAT !! My father learned everything about cooking from his mother who came over from Italy in the early 1900s. When I come to Carfagnas, all I have to do is close my eyes while I eat and I swear I can hear my father and grandmother in the kitchen cooking away. Their food is so much like the authentic Italian food I grew up on. The meatballs are incredible ! The Baked Manicotti is to die for !!!! As long as I come to Columbus for work will be how long I come eat here !! In fact, I am heading their in an hour or so and my taste buds are already screaming out for my meal, which I know will be incredible !!!!

The food is always great. Good size portions. Desserts are fantastic. The service is great and friendly. The restaurant is very clean.
