Carlo & Johnny is not only a romantic atmosphere, but the food is amazing. The menu is not only appetizing, but mouth watering. The only downside is the prices are pretty high, but for one of the premier restaurants around, it is worth the price. Gentlemen please do yourself and a favor and take the lady out here!

It was a perfect date nite dinner for my husband and I. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and cozy with sophisticated charm. Music and lighting selections were appealing as well. We choose a table in the bar area that provided intimate privacy with convenience to entertainment. For our appetizer we selected Oysters Rockefeller, followed by the Freddie Salad and The Veal Florentine for our Entrée selection. All of which were perfectly prepared with excellent presentation and taste. Overall we are very pleased and impressed with our dining experience and with the excellent service we received, this may just be our new favorite little place.

Made reservations through Amex concierge for Friday night December 4th 2015 as my wife and I wanted to relax after a long week at work. Upon arrival the valets parking our car (great kids) and we were seated by the fireplace. Having frequented Carlo and Johnny's may times over the past 10 years it was immediately apparent that our server was new and when taking our drink order tried to up-sell my wife to their top shelf white wine when she just wanted the house Pinot Grigio. He said they may not have it and ultimately showed up a few minutes later with her request. After a few glasses we place our order for dinner. The Chicken Parm. my wife ordered was fantastic and well prepared. I ordered the dry aged bone in filet (medium rare+) which I have had 30+ times at Carlo and Johnny. The steak arrived overdone to medium. After my first cut I called our server Chase over to show him the problem with the filet. He then asked the General Manager (Charlie) to stop by our table. I cut through the rest of the steak up to the bone and it was clear that the back third toward the bone was medium rare+. At this point my wife was already half way through her meal and by the time I would have received a replacement steak she would have been finished.
Instead of offering to reduce the price of this $69 steak by the portion that was actually cooked correctly. They brought a piece of pie to share as a consolation prize. When buying the top of the line steak they offer you expect it done right...not even close in this case.
We now understand why people frequent Tony's and Eddie Merlot's up the street which will become or next date night places to go.

It was a wonderful date night experience with my bride celebrating another blessed year together.

Our server was excellent from the greeting to the departure. His food and drink suggestions were spot on.

We will return soon. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant.
