THE BEST bloody marys and their brunch menu rocks. Solid lunch options, and chill night spot. It's patio season in Phoenix and Carly's is the perfect spot!

Food:

My favorite bar downtown. The sandwiches are consistently good and the drinks are good. Prices are reasonable but not cheap. What really brings me back time and time again is the friendly staff and the laid back atmosphere. It's a great spot to get some food and beer and have conversation.

If you go on first Friday, realize that this place is right in the middle of it and will be extremely packed. If you don't mind the crowds, the recently added patio is a great people watching spot for First Friday. It's a completely different vibe any other day of the month, though.

Warm ambiance and smiley staff. The food and beer is good. This is one of my favorite places to hit when I'm downtown. It's close to everything - especially during First Friday

I ordered a meatball sub to go on Monday 8/4. I picked it up and walked across the street giving it time to cool off. However, the first bite I took was so hot the meatball and cheese stuck to the roof of my mouth and burned it so bad that several layers of skin came right off. I have been in pain since. Doc says it will take 6-8 weeks to heal. I have eaten hot food my whole life but never been burnt like this before. I contacted the restaurant to let them know, but the extremely rude behavior of the owner and employees has been surprising. I have been there many times, but the handling of this situation has been terrible that I expect to return.
