Carmel's Mexican Restaurant, Toledo, Ohio Restaurant Details

I've gone around 5 times over the past 8 years hoping it'd improve since the few former good mexican restaurants in toledo are all gone and everytime I've gone I've been met with poor service and bad to mediocre at best food. Shame, they have a nice layout, good location and reasonable prices.

Great atmosphere but not kid friendly. No kids menus no crayons and a pink lemonade is over two bucks.
Now if you want a fun adult time this is a place to be. Good margs and friendly staff. Food has down graded tough the years. Better to be here for drinks and friends.

What a joke. I ordered a taco salad and received a plate of taco style shredded lettuce with 4 pieces of black olives and a sprinkle of cheese and 3 tiny pieces of chicken. Oh and a tiny cup of salsa.I can't believe that they charge $8 for this crap. What a lazy and overpriced meal, I could go to kroger and buy a bag of shredded lettuce if I wanted this garbage!!

Best Margaritas in town, no question. And I really like the food. Great nachos and very good enchiladas, refried beans, and fajitas. And very good service.

Worst Mexican Ever! Chips from a bag, salsa from a jar, ground grease soaked unidentifiable meat and it was all covered in free government cheese or some Velveeta like stuff. Any fast-food Mexican restaurant will taste better and be much safer. I had one bite of each of the items on my plate and now I have a raging thunderstorm in my belly. Pro's... The drinks must be made of gold, the place was packed with people drinking. This is the place the bro's need to go when hunting cougars. There were packs of 35-45 year old women drinking heavily and screaming "hashtag I'm so wasted". Get'em killers. Seriously do not under any circumstance eat the food.! You Have been Warned!!!
