Previous review nailed it. Not expensive or fancy, just great food! Rum cake was not to big and tasted perfect. Despite the frozen spinach in the veggie lasagne, it had great flavor, and the service never missed a step.

My family and I frequent Casa Carbone on many occasions. I am of Italian descent and can say the food prepared and served is authentic and delicious from the calamari or the pizza or the eggplant parm or the cannolis. Everything is well prepared and enjoyable! The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is good - it's a great place to eat! Bon appétit!

The ambiance was nice. I loved reading about the family / restaurant history on the back of the menu. I feel it built my expectation up though which left me slightly disappointed.

Being an Italian restaurant I expect certain things. They should know how to serve a glass of red wine. I know its hard to believe but the glass does affect the taste of the wine. Need to serve Cabernet in the proper glass. If your going to charge the snobby price for a glass / bottle of wine serve it in the proper snobby glass.
Bread and Olive oil.... Mama Carbone would be sad to see the old olive oil and vinegar.

For dinner we had the Chicken Alla Maria and Cannelloni Florentine. Portion size was fair and both meals were delicious.

Not fancy, not expensive, just DELICIOUS and consistent! The Rum cake (with vanilla and chocolate custard frosting!) is my favorite dessert in the world. The meat pasta sauce is GREAT and comes on side orders unless you want alfredo. Chicken Caccitorre and Chicken Marsala are both great, two chicken breasts, very tender. Pizza is good too, but you can get pizza anywhere. This is comfort Italian at its best and the folks who run the place are super nice and do a lot in the community. Have been going here for years, do not comprehend the few negative reviews I saw.
