5 star restaurant quality food. Very friendly staff and excellent prices. Everything on the menu is good. It is a bit hard to find though, have to get to it via a entrance behind the Cox building that's not labeled.

As a daily customer to this restaurant, I have a pretty good grasp on this establishment. Let me first say that I have not met one person there who is not kind. In fact, quite the opposite, they really make me feel welcome and as a steady customer, they are really good at knowing what i like and are very good at giving it to me. I have heard a few complaints from other customers about getting orders wrong at times, price changes, and at times, long lines. Let me first say, this restaurant, as I understand, was initially a catering only business that has now added a restaurant to their business. That alone will take a little time to adjust menus, prices, and staff. But the food is OUTSTANDING. I regularly get the shrimp poboy and have never had one that wasn't great, with plenty of beautiful shrimp on it, and a flavor I cant quite put my finger on, but its great. I am born and raised in New Orleans, now living in Baton Rouge. My point is, I KNOW A GOOD POBOY! This is as good as ANY shrimp poboy I have EVER had. Also, I call my order in during the lunch rush or just go in and order, and have them call me when its ready. I dont wait in line. I get my food hot and quick. I think anyone with a negative experience should try to understand that opening a new restaurant, developing a menu and prices, and settling on a reliable staff is not done overnight. Have a little patience. As for myself, I really like the people, the food, and the convenience and would recommend this restaurant to ANYONE! 5 STARS!!!

There are good things and horrible things about this place. I don't necessarily have a problem with the people that work here, I have met the owner, and she is a very sweet woman. But even though the people that work there may be nice, their service overall really is awful. Don't get me wrong, the food usually tastes pretty good, with the exception of a few recipes that either need some work or should be replaced ( I've tried MANY MANY things on their menu). But there a so many areas where this business needs work.
1) Their food is VERY inconsistent. Take the fried shrimp poboy, for example. One week, there are 12 shrimp on your poboy, the next week (like today) there are 6. SIX SHRIMP. It's not just that I feel like, wow, that's inconsistent, it's the price. Their menu has a shrimp poboy, JUST the sandwich, for $7.99 plus tax. That is a ridiculous price for only a sandwich that is skimps on the food and is sloppily made. There are so many places around this area that have amazing shrimp poboys for that same price and INCLUDE good fries and a drink. Speaking of fries, that is another area of inconsistency. Since the day they have opened, they a) have never settled on one type of fries-they almost change weekly so you never know which ones to expect, and b) they give you fries even when you DON'T order or pay for them. This is eventually going to cost them money because they're not charging people for food they are giving out. I did not order fries today, so I paid **$8.71**(this includes tax) for their 6-shrimp poboy and still got fries...which were not good. They were almost stale like they had already been made and were just waiting to go in someone's box.

Another thing they need to work on is training all of their employees more thoroughly on the menu. They are always looking things up at the front counter, unsure about what comes on/in the food, and the people in the kitchen are obviously getting things wrong because the food is so inconsistent. The employees here have NO sense of urgency whatsoever...I worked in a restaurant for years and have been both a crew member and a manager, and know the importance of a sense of urgency. Again, I do like the people that I've interacted with their, so this is not a personal attack, but they just move at glacial pace for the most part and always seem very very unorganized. This really makes the "lunch rush" like a "lunch traffic jam". It took me 50 MINUTES to get a shrimp poboy today, and i would have asked for my money back and gone somewhere else except that it was pouring down rain outside, and i only have a 30 minute lunch break that I was already going over.
I think they really need to work on staff development, and maybe slim down their menu just a little until they get things really straightened out and can make the food they offer properly. I hope they DO get it together, they are very conveniently located for the employees in the building, but i know many already have completely boycotted the business because of the issues they have had there.

This little gem in Baton Rouge is run by the most sweet hearted woman you will ever meet. Her passion is the food she cooks and I know first hand that she is wants to make everyone that comes in as happy as possible. What was originally a catering only business branched out to serve anyone with a penchant for some really delicious food. It is a little tricky to find where it is behind the cox building, but once you do you will certainly begin to tell all of your friends. Call in your order to avoid the lunch rush!
