Decent, but far from great. Came on a slow Sunday evening. Server was nice but the food took forever to come out. Also, the salad came out at the same time as my steak, which shouldn't happen. The steak was undercooked as well, but it seems to be par for the course, as the table next to mine sent their steaks back for being undercooked. Anyways, despite the delicious mud pie, not likely to come back here, you can get a steak this good at any restaurant that has steak on the menu.

This place is superb! The food is excellent and the wait staff is right on. I've never had to sit by for a table, even on the biggest nights, for more than 20 minutes. The steaks, the lobster (big and cooked just right), the shrimp, the chicken are the best! I eat here with my wife at least once every two weeks--its food compares well with Simon and Seafort's, Sullivan's, Crow's Nest, Glacier Brew House, Orso's, etc. Best of all, this place has excellent food that won't break the bank. The big, high-backed booths allow for a romantic interlude with someone special, too. Mark and Wallace are superb waiters, and I've never had less than excellent service with any of their other waiters. The bar is strong, too--their dirty Martini is one of the best in town, as well as a strong Tom Collins. Try this place: you'll like it. I read the other reports and seriously suspect some folks are trolling this set of reviews. They don't match at all to my experience.

Well, the dessert was good. I highly recommend the mud-pie. But overall this was the most disappointing restaurant experience I've had in Anchorage. I understand that on a Saturday night it can be a little busy food might take a while and our server might have his hands full.... But we waited 45 minutes for overcooked asparagus and cold steaks. After the initial interaction, our server stopped by once to give us our drinks, then proceeded to neglect us while laughing and chatting it up with everyone around us. We managed to get a couple of refills out of him, but he was mildly unpleasant about itq and kinda tossed our drinks down and walked away. I believe his name was Mark, I'm not sure - he never actually introduced himself. He didn't stop to check how our food was and we had to flag him down to get our check and dessert. We complained and they offered comps, but we declined them because even free steak couldn't bring us back to this place.

I was apprehensive about going here based on the reviews but went with friends who had a gift certificate. The menu doesn't has a very narrow selection (two salads, two sandwiches, a burger, and a handful of overpriced seafood and steaks). I tried the Cobb salad and was very disappointed with what I got for $16. The chicken was good, but the rest of the salad was cafeteria grade at best. Of the 8 of us at the table, nobody was very impressed with what they ordered. Overall, I went with low expectations and was still a little let down.
