Cecelia's Ristorante, Buffalo, New York Restaurant Details

Food:

Our order was incorrect and for some reason we had two or three servers (none of them could seem to get it right). An employee was sent with a couple free glasses of wine for the eternity of a wait. She said it was her first day and that the other server was also new. The food was satisfactory but nothing to write home about. Clearly under staffed and lunch menu is lacking. The patio is in a fair location with plenty of sun but what is that worth if it takes nearly the entire lunch period to receive your order and no one seems to have a clue?

Food:

I like Ceclia's. I've only been there a couple times, and mostly never of my own accord. I like the decor and bar styling. the drinks are comparatively priced and the location is very good. I went when it was cold, so I can't say much for the patio. Inside, however, the dining experience, and bar experience, are top notch. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice relaxing night in a time machine back to the 30s.

Food:

We were there last on a Tuesday evening. Of course the patio is a great location to be. It was not overly crowded. We waited over an hour for our food. To get a drink we practically had to stand up and jump in front of our server to get her attention. The martini's are good, but the pour was only 3/4 of a glass.

I seem to recall that the last couple times we were somewhat disappointed. Apparently it was not a fluke.

Food:

We always have a good time and good food when we go here. But, why does every Italian restaurant in Buffalo put sugar in their tomato sauce???!! Mia momma never did that or any other Italian I know of. Must be a Buffalo thing? I never order a red sauce in any Bufalo italian restaurant now.

About the only thing going for it is their great patio. Crabcakes and mini pizza were good, but not "out of this world". We had a group of about 12-14 people who met for a friends birthday. The server was not in a pleasant mood and acted like our every expensive drink order was a burden to her. She should have thought to offer separate checks to those arriving after the main group got there. The waitress forgot to take off a payment that someone made with a credit card. And there were drinks on one bill that were also duplicated on another bill. Her attitude about her mistake was unreal, she just said "oh well i'll take those off" with no apology or urgency. Go to TORO or LEFT BANK or SHANGO or PRIME 490 or TABREE instead. Not EVER returning to this restaurant. I will also send them a letter so that management has the opportunity to make appropriate changes to their staff.
