Food:

02/14/16 Service was slow. Made reservations way in advance and requested a location we wanted to be seated at and told not available and somewhat rudely. Ordered a Martini and took forever. Had a select menu for Valentine's Day so should have been faster. Was not. Order's were confused and food was warm not hot, indicating it was sitting for awhile. Never asked if we wanted coffee or after dinner drinks. Way over priced for all that was wrong.

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner at The Celestial Steakhouse and offer our highest compliments to Chanaka and his staff. Our wedding was out in Blue Ash so my parents, wife, and I searched all throughout Cincinnati for a venue that could showcase the city, provide a wonderful and cozy atmosphere for our 90 guests, offer a delicious dinner, and do this all within a reasonable budget. The Celestial delivered on all counts! From the start we were wowed by Chanaka's willingness to work with us for all of our needs. He and his staff customized the perfect menu (with many hors d'oeurve, entree, and dessert options) for our guests, brought in the musical entertainment of our choice, and stayed mindful of our budget the whole way through. Chanaka never pushed anything on us or made any suggestions out of line - indeed, all of our goals were met and exceeded. He sat our large party just as we hoped (and, indeed, accommodate our sometimes changing seating chart with ease). His chefs offered a variety of options that we could pick and choose from. On the actual night of the dinner, we were treated to the beautiful main chandelier room and the city shined beautifully. As soon as our guests walked in the music provided the perfect atmosphere, the hors d'oeuvres were an immediate hit, and the stage was set for a wonderful evening. Chanaka and his team proved very flexible, accommodating, and a true treat to work with.

View can't be beat and is very romantic, let's just say the date couldn't have gone better. I took one star off for over chatty wait staff that just seemed a bit less than expected for a restaurant of this caliber. Food was better than good but not great

Dinner on Sunday 2/15/15 at 4pm. Sun shining through dirty windows, view is better at night! Tripped over ripped carpet walking to our table. Silverware and glasses water spots or just dirty. The bar was out of Jameson and Chivas Regal, are you kidding me?! Then we were informed they were out of the bottle of wine we chose. The waiter offered another bottle of more expensive wine for same $. The steaks were very good, the Yukon gold mash potatoes were not, very dull and dried up. The asparagus we ordered were scrawny and over cooked. My husband paid the bill, we sat with our friend and talked while finishing our wine then got up to leave. The waiter came over and said he forgot to charge us for the wine. My husband looked at the original bill, then gave him the money for the wine. They charged us full price for the wine, no discount. My husband said, "let's just leave and never come back". No empathy from the owner when I emailed him. He said, "I am sorry about your experience at the Celestial". Never will we go there again.

Food:

Dull tasting food and very underwhelming. Our bill was $350 and they tried to charge us $20 extra - TWICE. 20 minutes later, the third check was correct and a half apology was given. No manager, no discount. I would NEVER recommend this place. Graeter's was a better experience for my mom's 60th birthday.
