A beautiful historical house turned into a good cafe. That has fresh ingredients and good service. It is also very kid friendly. That is a plus when you take your 4 year old and 9 month old out by yourself.

Great location in the park. Sat outside and allowed my girls to play around while waiting for lunch. Staff and food were wonderful and only upscaled by the environment... Look forward to coming back soon.

Without exageration.... I take every guest or friend passing through philadelphia here for breakfast/lunch - mainly as an excuse to go back myself. I am gluten free - and while their menu doesnt have "gluten free options" per say - their salads are amazing, and everything is made to order - so added "toast" or "Croutons" can be removed from all of the dishes. My gluten-friendly friends love all of their breads and baked goods, most recently the 4 layer chocolate cake I watched a friend gorge himself on. There is a nonpretentious attitude, and the owners are there, cooking/serving and interacting with their customers- - something i love.
I also loved all the personal touches and stories, and cant wait to go back. After reading about the invention of pumpkin-french toast, I want to meet, and date the owner's son... and you'll have to check it out for yourself to know why :)

If you want to treat yourself, friends or clients to a unique getogether venue that's nicer than a diner or coffee shop - this is a cool place. Historic, beautiful architecture and off the beaten path. The egg and cheese was excellently prepared and the service was friendly and attentive.
