Food:

Pretty average sandwich place to me and while a lot of people like the Chubby Chinese Girl sandwich (w/ Peking Duck), it didn't do it for me as it's considered a cold sandwich. The Grilled Chicken Pesto is a good bet however.

Food:

got very sick there on Monday (4/7/14) after about an hour of eating one of thier gourmet pizzas (truffle / rigotto) thought I was going to die.
Sick at work, sick on the train, etc. either the cheese was bad or someone who works there does not wash their hands after the bathroom. V disappointed as I was going there regularly for their ceasar salad.

I ordered 2 green veggie alforno slices, which is spinach, mozzarella, and gruyere. I got the short end of the stick and ended up with fairly small slices. The pizza was certainly good - no qualms about flavor, though I did notice some slices behind the glass looked too blackened/burnt even for a brick oven place.

In my opinion, the value wasn't so great - I paid almost $8 for two small slices that didn't fill me up. A friend ordered 2 Margarita slices that were more expensive than the online menu price, so keep that in mind as well.

I guess that's the price of a local/sustainable food place. Good pizza, but I probably won't order from here again.

Certe is the BEST! I plan events for about 250 people for an international law firm, and Certe makes me look so good. Somehow Certe provides incredible food at such a low cost. The food is so delicious and presented so beautifully. Guests always comment on the creative presentation. Certe can do such a wide range of cuisines. They have done everything for us from a luau to street food (e.g. pretzels, hot dogs) to New England cuisines (e.g. lobster rolls), and everything is fantastic. They do great cocktail parties with passed and stationary food plus breakfast, lunch, and dinner. What's more, they work with you on every little detail and always plan the perfect event for any budget (and with a smile no less). I am such a perfectionist but I know I can trust Certe. The Certe team is such a joy to work with. They care so much about what they do. This is a real small business with big results that I am proud to support. A caterer recently contacted me to try to get my business. When I sent him a sample menu from Certe with their price, he said I better stick with them! That says it all.

Food:

Certe is a great place - the food is always good and the people are warm and friendly. Our office is in the same building as Certe and we all go several times a day. Everyone loves it. You can't go wrong. They seem to deliver food to the entire midtown area. Mike at the front serves coffee with a smile.
