We had gone to Soma Temple, were hungry so thought we can have lunch at Chai Pani. We were been seated by the server (none were Indians). The menu was on the table and I asked which vegetable is in lunch? The reply was "Sweet Potato Curry". AND that was the only vegetable in Thali. I grew up in India, have traveled most of the big cities and never saw "Sweet Potato Curry" on the menu. The lunch was for 9.95 or something and what I get is sweet potato curry. I looked around and noticed, there was NOT a single Indian eating there. No wonder...I got up and left without eating anything.

Really, really impressed with a delicious, tidy menu. Many items are gluten free and the staff are very knowledgeable. Quick service, good prices and really good food make this a must visit.

After reading all the reviews and hearing from friends boasting about this place, we went here for lunch today with lot of hopes.

The menu is small and neat. The food was OK, nothing great about Samosa chat. We ordered today's special masala vada, which was pretty plain with no masala flavour. The mango chat was really good (for which I gave 3 stars overall)

An indian Chat place will always have Pani puri, pav bhaji which are missing in this place.

Visited on March 08, 2015. It was a Sunday, not overly crowded at 1230 pm. I liked the ambience and witty posters and signs around, and chuckled many times as I saw Hindi being used in funny ways - places where I'd never see it being used back in India. On to the food.

Ordered bhel puri, Bombay spicy fries something (keema, fries done in Bombay Street style), kaathi roll and tomato cheese uttappam. Two people. The food was pretty good, and way more than we could eat. I liked the chaats more than the proper food. The bhel puri and spicy fries were pretty good. Kathi roll was above average and uttappam was okay. These subjective evaluations are based upon an Indian background and upbringing so believe me when I say you'll be hard pressed to find a much better place for Indian food here. My friend, who is from the USA, really liked the food too.

The prices were reasonable too, and the service was really great. The people took an interest in where I'm from and talked a bit, and in the end as we were leaving they changed four dollar bills to quarters that I needed to slot in the parking meters. Small gesture, but meant a lot because he actually had to go and get his wallet from somewhere else since they ran out of quarters on their cash register.

Highly recommended.
