Food:

There wasn't much that I liked about it. We did thanksgiving dinner there with all our family. The service was ridiculous and unorganized. The food was joke. If you can believe it, processed Turkey is what they served. They did have over cooked ham. A meal that would have been high for $12 a plate ran more like $40 a plate. 12 people, 3 under 12, no alcohol, our bill was $600 with the "mandatory" tip. This place should not be allowed to serve thanksgiving dinner. Don't go!!!!!

Food:

We attempted to dine on Thanksgiving evening, as we had done so many times before. Last year we skipped the lunch buffet, opted for dinner, but did order the Thanksgiving Dinner, beyond being a nice presentation, that's where it ended, a plate of mush! Can't fault them for their recipes, and everyone likes different things on Thanksgiving. That being said we decided to give it another chance this year, knowing ahead we would order off the menu, no pre prepared dinner. Service was terrible, uninformed, didn't have several things we ask for, bar included, no water refills, no coffee checks, wait was making us think they forgot to turn in the order, it arrived by a different employee, kitchen staff, who said they didn't want it to sit any longer ( thoughtful of her) but it looked like it had already had a long rest! Both choices, totally different were not eatable. I relenquished mine to my son, he was able to eat parts, I set the other aside, where it was clear there was a problem, no one noticed or ask, just came back to give the check and ask about desert! Now that being said, there were just the 2 of us, early reservation, not even close to full and they seemed to have plenty of staff, so I don't consider those the issue. Check came with extra bar charges (the things we order that they realized they were out of) they took their time removing those charges, we paid our check, $$$$ and left a gratuity and a note. We waited for a response about the note, nope, so I walked up to the computer station to quietly express my disappointment, he wanted to know what he could do to make it right, seriously, he is the manager?? Would a $50 gift card bring us back, possibly for drinks only, was my sons response, waiting in the rain, he finally returned with an envelope, I handed it to my son, he looked inside, it was a hand written gift certificate for $25!!!!!!!!!, walked right back in and said I thought you said $50, oh I just grabbed the first one I saw, those are not generally prepared ahead with the day's date@&$);:/but it was probably all he could think to say when approached, ten minutes later he returned with (the same hand written) certificate for FIFTY and basically flipped it in my direction. This was once a delicious treasure, however something has gone, it has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and a tradition lost.......

Food:

We were in town for the wedding of a friend's son and decided on The Chalkboard based on numerous favorable reviews. Unfortunately, it was quite a disappointing evening. We were seated promptly and the restaurant was lightly packed for a Saturday evening. The waiter was prompt in greeting us. That was one of the positives. When we inquired about several of the items on the menu, he was not very knowledgeable and from that point forward, service was not very attentive. We ordered appetizers and entree's along with a nice bottle of wine. The crab cakes, while good, were a bit over cooked. Soup was cold and had to be sent back to be reheated. Then, we sat. And sat. At an hour and 1/2 into the evening (and roughly an hour after ordering the entrees), it was not in front of us. We inquired and were told that they allow a long time between plates - but, this amount of time was unacceptable. As we had additional commitments that evening, we opted to leave as we were not yet provided a time when our meal would be ready. We do not know if the problem was with the kitchen or our server (possibly not placing the order?) - this is not an appropriate level of commitment to dining guests.

Food:

I went for the first time about a couple of months ago and it was amazing. The atmosphere and service is superb. Their mimosas are outstanding. A definite good place to go.

Food:

Great Beef Wellington! Scallops & risotto - 3 small scallops, terrible risotto, overpriced. I have eaten here 5x. Sometimes its excellent & reasonable priced, sometimes its mediocre & overpriced. Inconsistent. Romantic atmosphere. Good service.
