04/25/2012 1:22 amI wanted to like this place. It is within a mile from my home and I like to support local business. Maybe it was an unfortunate series of events or we hit the restaurant on a bad night. There were gnats flying around our table from the moment we arrived. A drink distracted us from the flying insects. We ordered an appetizer (the calamari) which was disappointing.....my husband found a hair in it. We informed the waiter. They gave us a 20% discount on the calamari. Now this is the first time this has ever happened to me at a restaurant, but it seemed a little strange that they did not remove the charge from the bill altogether. We had only had a few bites of the calamari. Fortunately, it was not me who found the hair because I would not have been able to eat my meal. We were able to see the kitchen from our table....the cooks were not wearing hair nets. The entrees were ok, nothing to get excited about. I will probably not go back which bums me out a little bit. This would be a great neighborhood gem to bring out-of-towners. I know what they were going for but they missed the mark here. |

11/12/2011 4:21 pmService, Selection, Wine, Food...We loved it all. We got there last night with our 7 year old son. They don't have a child friendly menu. But, before we could ask, our waiter suggested some things the chef could make for him. The wine list was good. Not too much. But, something from every category I could want. And, the prices were VERY good for a restaurant. The same bottle we picked would have been at least twice as much at any other restaurant. The butternut squash tart was outstanding. My wife and I both enjoyed it. The entrees were cooked perfectly. And, my son (very picky eater) loved the grilled cheese sandwich they made for him (along with fresh made lemonade). This was the best dining experience I've had in Baltimore in many years. I've been wanting to go here for a long time, but kept putting it off because it wasn't convenient. So glad I finally made it. Thanks Chameleon! |

10/06/2011 12:22 amOur experience was excellent from the minute we arrived. The staff was very friendly & we were given a nice table by the window. Our appetizers of cornmeal encrusted oyster & fried green tomatoes were delicious! The entries of pork & steak were equally delicious, the vegetable were obviously fresh & perfectly cooked. Our waitress was educated as to their wine offerings & capable of helping me decide on which red I wanted. The desserts were picture perfect & delicious. This experience has only made us want to go back! I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Loved every minute & every bite :) |

12/11/2010 2:39 pmIt was excellent. The Steak was perfectly cooked and service was friendly and accommodating. I shared a meal with my wife and they carefully split each course into two. Above all the food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. |
