If you are visiting KC and a sports fan you should check this place out. Good atmosphere and good food.

Great family owned and operated restaurant in Kansas City. Our party of eight was treated excellently by the server. We enjoyed the fried mushrooms for an appetizer The signature burger was cooked thoroughly and was fantastic. I'll definitely come to Chappell's the next time I'm in Kansas City North.

We found this place on Groupon while visiting KC. It was a great deal and our son loves sports so the memorabilia/museum all over was very entertaining. Food is good especially their fried chicken sandwiches, spinach artichoke dip & curly fries. The happy hour specials are great!

This place is literally the worst. Went in earlier today to surprise my boyfriend with a good lunch with tons of sports memorabilia and a good college football game. Boy was I in for a surprise. First of all it took the woman at least 20 minutes to come back and take our order, which would have been perfectly acceptable if they had been busy, but they were the exact opposite of that. Secondly when we did get our food, my boyfriend had ordered a medium rare steak, which when he cut into was completely well done. I ordered a philly cheese steak, which was in fact not even close to being a philly cheese. It was thickly cut roast beef which some rubbery onions and peppers being held together by cheese that seemed more like puddy than actual cheese. I also asked no mushrooms be put on my sandwich and it was literally covered in them. Not that we could ever find our waitress to ask her to change anything about our meals, she never showed up once until the very last second. So we ate what parts of the food we could i.e the fries and waited for our check to arrive. And waited, and waited and waited. Finally after 15 minutes of just sitting there I got a busy boy to go find our waitress and after several more long minutes she came back with a check. It took us longer to pay and get out then it took us to eat and that's a serious problem. I also know it took this long because they're televisions weren't playing the college game we went to see, in fact they weren't playing anything because the picture was squared the entire time and no one bothered to do anything about it. The biggest problem I have however was the look the waitress gave me when she saw I did not leave her a tip. I didn't tip her because she didn't do anything, and I don't have to tip if the service was horrendous and believe me it was. It was literally the worst experience in dining out I've ever had and I will never EVER return to this place. Biggest waste of forty dollars ever and I've never been more disappointed and angry at the customer service(or the lack thereof) in my entire life. What a great place indeed...that is if you like being miserable and not watching sports at a sports bar.
