Nice place, good food, not the fastest service.

The 'Piano Bar' is one corner of the place. Outdoors is nicely heated.

Not as fun as I thought it would be. Didn't hear any piano... Food is ok and expensive. No beer on draft. Sat out on the patio and I thought it was gross that all the staff smoked outside. Not coming back...

Really fun bar. Nice owner, fun staff, mixed crowd. Sometimes they can be a bit... older. The piano bar aspect is pretty fun but you hear a lot of predictable requests from the patrons. The outdoor patio allows smoking, which isn't bad.

A few Fridays ago, arrived at a packed Happy Hour!
Festive atmosphere- people singing at the piano bar,
a friendly and competent waitress who took care of
many tables!
As a vegan, I was impressed that this historic bar
would offer veggie burgers and other options. Many of
Denver's newer, more upscale restaurants have few,
if any, vegetarian plates.
If Jack Kerouac could be inspired by this place, surely
today's veggie hippies and yuppies should know about
Charlie Brown's! Unpretentious, diverse, warm.
A week later, took my mother there--had a huge veggie
pizza with no cheese--delicious.
Next time you're on the road, stop here and have a beer!

"Old-timers sing tunes at the piano and hipsters hang out" over "fairly cheap", "straightforward" drinks at this Capitol Hill "gem", a "dive before dives were trendy"; you'll also find a "quality mix of folks" on the "smoker-friendly" "covered patio", overseen by a largely "accommodating" staff.
