Charlie Chiang's Restuarant At Crsytal City, Arlington, Virginia Restaurant Details

We were a bit skeptical because the place was empty when we went in - every dish was better than the next - I took out 7 people for $140.00 including apps and a few beers. Great stuff!

Charlie Chiang's was a horrible experience for me and my family.

The waitress was so rude. We asked for extra plates and she just walks away and comes back, slams them down, and leaves. Don't get the egg drop soup unless you want corn soup. The base was corn soup and there was corn in it, which was not mentioned in the menu. We used a coupon we'd gotten from a brochure, and she grabbed it (again, rudely) and walked away. She made us feel very unwelcome. It was apparently a huge deal that we asked for ice water and extra plates? The hospitality deserves 0 stars. The food, maybe 3 stars, it was decent. If you're looking for a good Chinese restaurant I recommend you go somewhere else to feel welcome and get great food.

This is some of the better chinese takeout I have had in Arlington. The broccoli chicken was really good, and the wonton soup was delicious (though I would have liked a few more wontons). They had the food ready on time, and the service seemed fine to me. Prices were reasonable.

I used to work in Crystal City and I still live here. Lunch used to be great! Good service, good food from either the menu or the grill. I've ordered deliver 3 times. 1st time, no problem. 2nd time, I ordered from another Chinese place at 1 hr 45 min and that food got here sooner. CC said they had new management so I tried again. At 1 hr I called and was told 10 minutes. 20 minutes later it was reduced to 5 minutes when I called. 15 minutes later my food showed up. 1 hour 35 minutes for 2 dishes ordered directly off the menu. I used to deliver so I still tipped when I mentioned how late it was to the driver and he said he's the only driver on. For a delivery place in Arlington, VA. The wife is unamused and if I'm going to lose points with the wife I prefer to do it myself. That's twice and both times they blatantly lied on the phone. The waitstaff is nice but this represents management's attitude. Lunch is their big deal and apparently dinner isn't important to them. If you aren't going to deliver well, just don't deliver.

They were very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of before our show at the Synetic Theatre. Good food in a relaxing atmosphere. The Sesame Chicken was delicious - both crispy and saucy at the same time! Check out the happy hour specials - delicious crispy spring rolls for less than $2!
