Ben & Peter, our bartenders were amazing! Best Mimosas I have had in a while. Also our food was outstanding! The Masa Vallo Con Huevos was exquisite. We would most definitely return!

BEST restaurant in Oklahoma City! Hands down. Any occasion, any guests from out of town, any reason at all, go the Cheever's. You will not be disappointed.

First off you'll never go wrong just stopping in for a slice of carrot cake and a brandy ice. Just one sight of the carrot cake with its artful decor of drizzle and you'll understand why it's hard for me to go by without stopping. On the flip side the chicken fried steak is delicious and while I'm sure the rest is too, I just can't pass up that steak. Mmmm.

This restaurant is usually the first word out of my mouth when someone needs a suggestion to eat.

In fact, I sent someone there Friday night from out of town. They loved it, but I'm losing the sparkle. I had reservations for Saturday after 9pm. My boyfriend and I choose times like this to enjoy a usually less than family friendly crowd.

To start the night off, we were seated right away... but then it was downhill from there. We didn't see a waitress for 15 minutes. The person that sat us couldn't even remember the name of our waitress.

THEN a couple with a baby walked in. The restaurant wasn't that crowded, yet they sat them right behind us. They baby was squealing and making a date night less than enjoyable when you can't even hear your date.

When we were introduced to our waitress she ran off and disappeared for another 5 minutes in the back. She had four tables and spent more time in the back than in the front. We then ordered the Juan's Queso. Won't do it again. The cheese was solid and not melty and definitely not a dish reserved for a white tablecloth restaurant.

Oh, and we received bread after the appetizer was out... a little to late for enjoyment.

Waitress disappeared again. Returned and then we ordered before the other tables, yet our dishes came out 30 minutes later and after all the other tables.

My linguine was cold and my boyfriend's chicken fried steak was cold. I think she forgot about them. I ate three bites and was entirely done with the night. I went home and was sick until this morning...I'm sure the queso was the culprit.

Also, our waitress disappeared for a while after dropping off our food. It wasn't until a random manger/waiter caught our eye to get our food boxed up and our checks did she appear after he solved our immediate needs.

I won't be back for a long while due to this mishap. This definitely was not the Cheever's I had grown to love.

Did some of your best waitstaff go to The Drake?
