Came here on our one year anniv. and it was so amazing!!!

I made reservations ahead of time and they had reserved 2 tables for me so that I could choose where I wanted to sit. That in it's self was amazing that they gave me a choice. (the resturant was packed!)

We chose to sit in the corner by the managers counter. We are social people so the mager was awesome and talked to us about the food while we decided what to order.

We ended up going with the Chef's tasting menu! It was amazing!!! Also we added the wine flight & boy were we glad we did! The bordeaux was simply amazing and we ended up buying a bottle to take home. I was super impressed that they wrapped the bottle in white paper & twine like they do in the old country.

At the end of our meal they put candled in our desert & gave us a really nice card signed by the staff. It was an awesomenight & we will be returning there year after year!!

I had dinner here with some coworkers on a Wednesday night.

I love the location. It's tucked away in a small street near the 101 corridor. Not someplace you'd expect a really nice restaurant. So the ambiance feels kind of secret... like you're in on something special.

I was late and they accommodated me nicely by adding an extra chair to our table. For my main I ordered the venison. It was incredible. Rich, savory meat that's neither tough nor fatty. Good balance. The potatoes that came with it were really good too.

The Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake was the best of the desserts we tried.

The bathroom is super fancy too.

I would go again.

I love the ambiance here. It's a warehouse converted into a high-end French restaurant. The place is very non-asuming when you walk up to the iron gates. then, you walk through curtains to a well-heated patio and back to an arched ceiling huge dining room, complete with a wood-burning stove in the middle.
The food is rich and luxurious, everything you want in French cuisine. Make sure to try the sweet breads. They are so delicious. I paired it with the 2011 Brouilly, a perfect light and fruity red wine which complemented the sweet richness of the sweet breads.
And, make sure to save room for dessert. their warm chocolate pudding cake was the best I have had in a long time! It was perfectly baked with a soft pudding center and thin outside. I could die happy if that was my last bite of dessert on earth.

Tasting menu of mushroom soup, scallops, sturgeon, and chocolate cake was consistently good. Enjoyed the wine pairings. Very fast service - they had us out of there in 70 minutes. Not much personal touch to the service but they were efficient and friendly. Beautiful, unique space. A good spot for a nice meal.

i'm not a fan stereo typical french restaurants which makes me love Chez Spencer. it's warehouse, loft feel makes it feel unique and a bit edgier than usual. the mushroom soup was amazing. my wife had the scallops which were some of the most tender i've had and i had the lamb which almost fell off the bone. the vanilla ice cream with toasted almonds was the perfect end of the night.
