Food is horrible here! Review below got it right, food came out within 5 minutes of ordering, tasted fresh out of the microwave. I wanted to change the sauce on the enchiladas but told I couldn't because they were pre-made. Queso taste like sliced cheese melted in a bowl, no spice at all. Charged for extra basket of chips or salsa. Overall worse food ever had. If you like crappy Mexican food save yourself some money and go to Taco Bell.

We have been eating at Chico's for about a decade. We have always received good service, good food, good portions, good value. That's what keeps bringing us back! I've read a few reviews here that are super negative, but with little or no details as to what/why/when/etc. Always suspicious, but when I've eaten there probably hundreds of times over the years (we use it for business meetings a lot) and have never had a bad experience, I'm even more suspicious. Great place, nice folks, we'll continue to use them for our meetings. As a matter of fact, that sounds good right about now...

If you think the Mexican food here is good you need to get out more. My cheese enchiladas were horrible, but my fiancee's "chorizo" ones were even worse. We suspect it wasn't even chorizo. It tasted like ground beef with too much cinnamon added in. Disgusting! The food came out almost instantly too, can you say pre-cooked and microwaved? No fresh food for you! Our waiter was nice so I gave an extra star for him, but that was the only positive in an otherwise overwhelmingly bad experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone and am going to lecture my "friends" who sent me on what good Mexican food should taste like!

My favorite Mexican food in Wichita or anywhere. Have been a customer of Chico's for almost 40 years. The constant crowd of established customers speaks for their quality.
