Had one of their new burgers. Blah. Pricey and hardly any flavor. Bring back the country fried steak?!

The food is decent if you don't mind waiting an obscene amount of time. I love the ribs but we'll never sit down in this restaurant again. Just do take-out from now on. The service is always bad and slow, but this last time was unbearable. The server was surly. Every time she left either for drinks, food, the check, etc. it seemed like she would never return. It wasn't like she had too many tables. The restaurant was half empty (I wonder why). She didn't clear the table between the main meal and dessert. Never refilled drinks unless asked even though they were clearly empty. Screwed up the order. Seems like most Chili's have the same horrible service.

My experiences at this Chili's have only to do with their To Go service. I am conducting an experiment. For the next 4 meals i will be eating Chili's To go. I will describe each encounter and try to provide as many details as I can. The reason I did this is because I have a $50 Chili's gift card that I gotta spend.

My first meal was the Jalapeno Smokehouse Burger. When I opened the box it looked okay. Not amazing or appetizing but good enough to eat. The burger was okay at best. Borderline kinda nasty. Sloppy put together. When u bite into it it kinda just all mushed into one texture. They seem to be stingy on fries whether they are Sweet Potato or Home style (usually fries don't cost very much to the business so I'm not sure why they held back, especially a major food chain). The bartender on duty was very friendly and ready to help. I picked up my To Go order from him since the regular To Go area was closed. They couldn't find the manager when I was there (kinda strange, I ordered for lunch around 1:30pm). Better burgers at In-N-Out in my opinion. But we shall see... next is their new Guacamole burger. So far their food seems overpriced for the quality. But i'm not surprised at all. Are u?

This is my go-to place for a quick and tasty burger. They get it right every time.
