There's not a bowl of anything I would avoid more than China Bowl. About a year ago, my wife and I had a surprising experience at this restaurant. It wasn't bad! It had decent ingredients, everything was flavorful and it was also well cooked.

Things have gone way down hill. We just ordered the fire cracker chicken and general's tsao's shrimp. Both featured oldish rice, over breaded shrimp and sauces that resembles a goop like paste that tasted like the color brown.

It's not all bad. The egg rolls and egg drop soup were, well, generous. You can order online, which is nice and the restaurant is family owned. So, that's better than taking your cash to Panda Express.

I will not be returning to China Bowl until they actually take a moment and care about what they're cooking.

New Owner!! I live nearby and saw the sign change. Went in to check it out. Anyone who is familar with Omaha Chinese knows someone who lives by house of hunan, and that is the new owner!!! He owns both places now and the jalepeno combination was unreal! My friend had the honey walnut chicken and loved it!!! All I will say is wait til you get the crab Rangoon in your mouth. Try it its great!!!

Can't beat their lunch specials. However, they always seem to mess up our order and when we bring it to their attention they don't seem to care nor do they apologize! They constantly forget parts of our order, and refuse to correct it. Once is understandable, 2-3 times in a row is ridiculous. Needless to say we will not be ordering from there again!
