China East, Reno, Nevada Restaurant Details

Bad experience!
I was looking for Chinese food to celebrate my first day after final. From Google's positive comments I decided to give a try.
I ordered some special daily dish on the menu but they found an excuse to reject me ，I be told that was not good. I was recommended a beef by their employee， I guess who own the restaurant, the beef is "rubber"! I asked change, he said maybe I like soft meat... well this time，his suggestion is mussel, he said it will be as same price as the beef, I gave my trust again and didn't bother check the menu, actually it's much expensive. I don't want argue then "paid" my lesson. The "expensive mussels" with some onions are softer than "rubber," that's all I can say.

Well, as a musician and a customer who be "forced" to listen some sort of fade music that made their blank and old atmosphere even worse, I keep asking myself, is this a joke!

One thing for sure I will never back there again, price has paid!

Ended up paying $17 for ginger beef, take out, when was thoroughly disappointed by a of the ginger being at the top and not mixed in, creating an overwhelming flavour. Some of the ingredients were not properly cut, and there was very little beef. $5 for egg rolls that were mostly cabbage. A dollar fifty for rice. They did not even supply eating utensils. All around, very disappointing.

Hesitant to go in from the old sign out front, but I was hungry so I said "What the hey, eh?" We were seated in a booth in the back room, it was 2:40 p.m. when we arrived and knew we made it on time for lunch which ends at 3 p.m. I should of taken this as 'a bad sign' when the soy bottle on the table was sticky and filth ridden, gross! The place needs to CLOSE down for a complete remodeling, it's disgusting!!! We sat there for TEN minutes with no one coming to ask about drinks or anything. I was ready to punch out the women sitting in the next booth as one of them kept rocking in her seat and it was getting annoying, what was she, a 5 yr. old?? Finally after yelling out "Hello, hello" still NOBODY came. We decided to get out of this gross disgusting place. Then when the waitress saw us approaching the door I said to her "Hey, we've been sitting back there for 10 minutes waiting for some service" and she looked at me and said... drum roll... "Oh." That was it?? "OH". Sheeesh. Going to have to find another place to eat since PEONY'S closed down and this place is a shit hole. Oh.

Food:

The place looks a little run down bit don't let that fool you. The food and service here is wonderful. I'm always greeted and served promptly, with a smile. I grew up in NY near Chinatown so I'm picky with my Chinese food and I've tried it all in Reno, this place is in my top 3. Still not Chinatown worthy but great for Reno.

Food:

I called and they were very nice and helpful over the phone, they made me feel like my order was important to them. Their prices are much better then some of the other nearby Chinese restaurants, and they didn't seem snobby about that fact That I mentioned it.

The delivery took about ten minutes to get here and all the food was hot and delicious.
