Chris ' hotdogs is the best food I have had in my whole life. The chili is amazing. It is cheap, my dad says it hasn't changed in years. While they don't have all drinks on fountain they have them in bottles. They give you more bottles as needed. The service was wonderful we where greeted sat down and got our food ordered very quickly. The food was ready very quick. I didn't even have to ask for a refill. Overall I would come back to Chris's Hotdogs any day.

I have been coming here since High School, graduated in "81. It was great then and great now. I have been in Orlando for the past 21 years but always come to Chris's when in town. If you are in Montgomery, this is the place for history and great hotdogs and hamburgers. Holes in the wall are always best!

If I could give a zero star rating, it definitely would be given here. We went to this place because we had heard that it was fantastic. We got there, no one greeted us or acknowledge us, we had to find someone to ask where we were to sit. We get to our seats and waited for about 15 minutes. No one came to greet us or even say it would be a minute. A server had come to the other table in the room multiple times and he did not say a word to us. We finally went up to ask if we were to order with them instead of waiting and they replied with a "No just sit down." And so we waited ANOTHER ten minutes.

I don't care if these are the best dogs or burgers, I wouldn't know, since We left after being ignored. You just don't make a customer wait for half an hour without acknowledgement of any kind.

I took my wife to eat here today because she used to come here with her grandparents over 60 years ago. She told me how good it was and how good the chili was that they had there. When we got there and went in, the place was in horrible condition. When we got someone to wait on us and we got a seat, the cushions in the seats were worn out and the springs felt like nails sticking into your backsides. We were sitting where we could see in the kitchen, the floors were horribly dirty and there were French fries laying on the floor. We ordered 2 hotdogs apiece with everything on them and my wife ordered an order of onion rings and I ordered an order of French fries. Our food was ready in about five minutes. The French fries were nearly burnt and the onion rings could not be eaten because they had been cooked so fast that they were not done. The hot dogs were horrible, the buns and the sauerkraut and the chili sauce was not even warm or heated up. The meat did not have time to cook and it was not warm either. This was the worst meal that I have ever had in the city of Montgomery. How this restaurant gets by with the county health department with its dirty and filthy kitchen, I cannot understand it. To top it all off, they bring your food to you in disposable plates that are too small and plastic forks. As far as condiments go, they have bottles of Winn-Dixie mustard on their tables instead of a high quality mustard. This was my first and last trip to Chris's Famous Hot Dogs. It probably was a great place to eat in back in the old days, but I would not let even my own hound dog eat in this place.
