Chuck's Fish, Birmingham, Alabama Restaurant Details

Ate here for the first time on 02/13/16. Service was good, the hostesses could have been much more friendly. My boyfriend and i was waited on by Beth. The service she provided was amazing and the food was superb. I would definitely suggest this place to friends and also return to dine again.

Food:

I did not see Ahi Tuna on the menu. I talked to the chef and he prepared some for me. It was superb!

Food:

Not that this will make any difference, but, the place was a little loud, the chairs were not comfortable, the service was not bad, and the food was good, however, for the money you would expect to get enough food to hold you until you get to your car. I was really disappointed in my experience being the first time to go there, and I am sure it will be the only time too. Ken

I sat at the bar as it was only myself and I didn't want to take a table. The bartends were great and very helpful. The caesar salad was fresh and crisp. I ordered the fresh catch from Destin with lemon caper sauce... the sauce was SO salty it was hardly edible. I wasn't asked how it was, or I would have said something. However, the table behind me was THE MOST OBNOXIOUS group of LOUD people I have ever experienced which ruined the entire evening. I travel extensively the past 15 years with work; the group at the table next to me was the worst I have EVER experienced. I went over and said, "You guys are really loud" in a diplomatic way, but it solved nothing. When I return to the area, which is often, I will definitely not go back to Chuck's as the food was less than mediocre and the 'noise control' if rooms, buffers were may have been used was nonexistent.

Food:

The food was delicious! My wife had the Beef Fillet and opted to add on the two stuffed shrimp. I had the Seafood Platter which had two stuffed shrimp, one crab cake and a blackened 4 oz. serving of the catch of the day (swordfish that day). Everything was cooked to perfection and succulent. We then shared the White Chocolate Bread Pudding for dessert.... without a doubt, the best bread pudding I have ever had.

It was a nice evening when we went, so we opted to sit outdoors. Our server was very attentive and he checked on us numerous times throughout the meal.... couldn't have asked for any better service.
