10/02/2015 11:33 pmI would have to say I have eaten my fair share of restaurants throughout my life and this place definitely is one of the top. I am a Nashville native and I love real, good, southern home cooking. City Café East is by far the best Meat & 3 in the city. Arnolds is 'okay' but their food lacks a little flavor (and kind of tastes like i's out of a can... sorry but it does there). Here though, they know how to cook real food!! If you are looking for a lunch that you will definitely enjoy, go here! I work 30 minutes away and it is worth the drive every time. The smoked brisket is once a month and they sell out fast, why, because it is AMAZING! Listen, you get what you pay for when it comes to these types of places. The portions are HUGE. If you leave hungry...well that's not possible. Seriously you need to go~ |

06/02/2015 7:27 pmThe customer service was outstanding, even wth me getting there before they closed. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted, and served with kindness and respect. The gumbo and chicken soup are fantastic, along with the turkey and dressing. |

04/20/2015 4:11 pmCity Cafe East - Awesome Catering by George – Nashville. This place is INCREDIBLE. I have been enjoying George’s brisket for a few months but have not have the opportunity to actually eat there. BIG MISTAKE!!! Went with my buddy and I chose the smoked/BBQ Bologna, Sweet Potatoe Casserole, Mac & Cheese, and Red Beans & Rice. It was very difficult to drive back to Murfreesboro as I was in a food coma. Bottom line…you’ve gotta eat here if you are looking for an excellent Meat & Three where emphasis is placed on quality and served with a smile. Was also a pleasure to meet George and Amy while I was there plus take home some brisket and a couple of extra slabs of the bologna. |

12/30/2013 5:14 pmThis place is a top notch meat and three. Kinda of a strange location, but worth the drive to get there. The Tortilla Soup is amazing, and the service is very friendly. Highly recommend for anyone who likes Arnolds or any other cafeteria style meat and three. One of the best in the city. |
