My hotel advised me not to go here, they sent me to a crappy sea food place near by. I went to Claytons around 5p-6p. The music was a little loud and out of date. The people were friendly and the crowd was a mix. GREAT HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS and bar food. Besides the dingy decor it was a nice place. I'll go back next time I'm in Houston.

Great Place to relax and have a good evening. Greenspoint was cleaned up over 10 years ago. There is crime every where. The location is great people live in this area also.

Every Friday a couple co-workers and I go out for a few drinks after work. Usually we take turns choosing a place to go to, or even just trying a new place one of us has heard of. Last Friday we decided to go to Clayton's, none of us having ever been there before. It's in an awkward shopping center... almost missed it when we were driving...
However, the inside of the restaurant was very nice. It was cool and dark, with lights on the dance floor. They even have poles on the dance floor (our waitress told us it was for occasional professional go-go dancers but we saw a couple women get up on the poles a few times throughout the night, lol!). When we walked in, it was seat yourself kind of service but the waitress was attentive and really friendly. She convinced us to try their appetizer platter. For only like $20 we had enough food to feed our entire group of 5 (2 of which were men!). The food was great too. I recommend trying their fried mushrooms- delicious! The pricing on drinks wasn't bad either. We showed up around happy hour and since it was Friday all of our drinks were $6... Needless to say I was shocked at the reviews on here! We had a great experience and plan on returning next Friday. If you are in the area, its a good place to go. Too bad it is so out of the way from where I live.
